Chiropractic Care
Our Techniques and Therapies
We specialize in a classic chiropractic technique, Diversified, which is gentle and effective for people of all ages. We also feature the following research-based therapies to complement our chiropractic care and help create a rapid response:
- Chiropractic adjustment: A technique used by chiropractors to treat back pain and neck pain. It involves the doctor applying thrusts of varying speed and forces to the joints of the spine that are causing pain or dysfunction.
- Electrical muscle stimulation: Your muscles can relax and heal with the aid of this painless therapy.
- Ultrasound: With the use of vibratory waves, this noninvasive therapy helps to warm and relax the tissues, promoting enhanced blood flow and healing.
- Graston Technique: Also known as instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization, this technique excels in the area of evidence-based care. Graston helps to break up scar tissue and fascial adhesions and promotes a significantly faster recovery time.
- Kinesio Taping® Method: This is a therapeutic taping technique designed to offer support to injured areas, while still allowing full range of motion. The taping method alleviates pain, reduces inflammation and assists in lymphatic drainage.
- Cupping: This therapy is an ancient form of alternative medicine in which special cups are placed on your skin for a few minutes to create suction. People get it for many purposes, including to help with pain, inflammation, blood flow, relaxation and well-being, and as a type of deep-tissue massage.
- Therapeutic exercise: This is a hands-on approach to rehabilitative exercise with the goal of stretching and strengthening injured muscles.
- Activator: A hand held tool is used to apply a specific adjustment to the spine. This method is ideal for those who prefer a more gentle treatment.
- Low force technique: Dr. King understands all patients are different. If you’re uncomfortable with spinal adjustments, a very gentle low force maneuver may be used to gently move the vertebrae or joint through its range of motion.
Our Care Is Specific and Gentle
We tend to instill confidence in our patients because we take the time to ease into treatment, especially with someone who is new to chiropractic. Our goal is to put you at ease, and we do this by carefully explaining everything we do — before we do it. There are no unpleasant surprises, either in chiropractic treatment or therapy. Our patients trust our care, and we hope you will, too.
